Do you have a question about Lost?

Written by admin on January 10, 2011

Hey everyone! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Hope you’ve all been well.

The domain for this blog is due for renewal soon, and I’ve been trying to think of a way to keep it alive, for at least one more year. The thing I’ve come up with is to ask you if you have any questions about Lost. Do you wonder about the Polar Bears, time travel, the Dharma food drops? Anything you feel wasn’t explained well enough in the show, I’ll try my best to answer it for you.

Leave a comment on this post with your question and I’ll write a post about it with (hopefully) the answer!

Namaste x

Introducing AlternateLostEndings.com

Written by admin on June 9, 2010

I recently set up a Lost Fan Fiction website with a difference: for people to write their own Alternate Lost Endings. I set it up as I felt the ending of Lost wasn’t what it could have been and I knew some of the members of Theories On Lost might be interested in the site as they still have loads of ideas and theories about the show.

Alternate Lost Endings

The premise is you can write your own ending. You could re-write the whole of season 6, or just the last ten minutes of The End. You can also write about what happens afterwards, like Hurley & Bens adventures on the island or what happens when Claire goes home to Aaron etc.

Once the site becomes more popular I will also create monthly contests which are based on a certain subject or theme (eg. Write a story/episode that explains Walt’s appearance to Locke, or a story/episode that explains what’s in Ben’s mysterious box etc.)

There are already a few posts written on there by some of the members which are all worth a read. Be sure to stop by! x

The End - Lost Season 6 Episode 17 & 18 Review

Written by admin on May 27, 2010

The End

First of all, I’d just like to say thank you for reading this blog. I haven’t written reviews since The Lighthouse, mainly through lack of time, but I also didn’t feel very inspired to continue. I’ve loved Lost since The Pilot and thought every season was amazing, and even though I fully enjoyed season 6 too, I just didn’t feel as compelled to write about it as I had before.

That being said, I feel it’s only right that I write about my thoughts on The End. It’s a way for me to say goodbye to what has been an amazing ride. And even though my feelings about The End aren’t as positive as most, I’ll never forget how amazing the show was before that.

Lighthouse - Lost Season 6 Episode 5 Review

Written by admin on March 9, 2010

Lighthouse

HURLEY: What. What is that?
JACK: It’s my house. It’s the house I grew up in.
HURLEY: Oh. That’s weird.
JACK: Haven’t lived in that house since I was a kid. He’s been watching. The whole time. All of us. He’s been watching us.

It’s interesting that the images seen in the mirror before Jack sees his house are places Jacob met with other passengers from Flight 815. We see a glimpse of the church where Jacob meets Sawyer at his parents funeral, and we see a glimpse of the Korean building where Jacob met Jin and Sun when they were married.

The Substitute - Lost Season 6 Episode 4 Review

Written by admin on February 26, 2010

The Substitute

BEN: Tea? Now there’s a gentleman drink. I don’t believe we met. Ben Linus, European History.
LOCKE: John Locke, Substitute.

Was this little exchange the reason why the episode was called The Substitute? I actually don’t think it was. I believe it refers to Sawyer, and him being a substitute for Richard. Flocke wanted Richard to go with him, perhaps because he needs someone with him to be able to go home. As Richard refused, it seems Sawyer has taken his place. A substitute.

What Kate Does - Lost Season 6 Episode 3 Review

Written by admin on February 14, 2010

What Kate Does

JACK: Why would you people want to kill Sayid?
DOGEN: We believe he has been ‘mesareteittandarou’ (召されていったんだろう)
LENNON: Closest translation is.. Claimed.
JACK: Claimed? By what?
DOGEN: There is a darkness growing in him. And once it reaches his heart, everything your friend once was will be gone.
JACK: I- How can you be sure of that?
DOGEN: Because it happened to your sister.

So, Sayid wakes from the dead only to be “claimed” by some sort of darkness. He hasn’t been taken over by Jacob, and he isn’t Sayid from the alternate universe. This is “zombie” Sayid.

HURLEY: You’re not a zombie, right?
SAYID: No. I am not a zombie.

Little do they know that this isn’t far from the truth. I believe that Sayid still thinks like Sayid and is unaware of the Darkness that is growing inside of him. The question is, what will happen when the Darkness takes over?

LA X - Lost Season 6 Episodes 1&2 Review

Written by admin on February 8, 2010

I have only seen the episode once but the first thing that springs to mind when summing up LA X is Wow. Just Wow. I’m sure Darlton have a checklist for the perfect Season opener which they adhere to with each season. A bunch of new questions - check. A bunch of new mysterious characters - check. Confusion, Unpredictability, Crazyness - check, check, check. But I wouldn’t have it any other way - Oh how I’ve missed you, LOST.

Sooo, without further adieu - let’s get to it!

Woah - that was close!

Written by admin on February 3, 2010

Wow, I’ve really neglected this site since Season 5. It was my intention to review Seasons 2 & 3 during the break but things kept me major busy in the “real” world. I’d neglected it so much that I actually let the domain expire (by accident of course!). Luckily it only expired a few days [...]

Orientation - Lost Season 2 Episode 3 Review

Character Episode: Locke

Orientation

Quick Recap on Flashback:
Locke is at a therapy group and gets angry with a girl there who seems upset about someone stealing $30 from her. He tells everyone his story about Anthony Cooper conning him for his kidney which seems to make everyone elses problems seem tedious in comparison. After the meeting he gets talking to a lady called Helen and they seem to hit it off immediately.
