Lost Isle

Introducing AlternateLostEndings.com

Written by admin on June 9, 2010 – 11:43 pm -

I recently set up a Lost Fan Fiction website with a difference: for people to write their own Alternate Lost Endings. I set it up as I felt the ending of Lost wasn’t what it could have been and I knew some of the members of Theories On Lost might be interested in the site as they still have loads of ideas and theories about the show.

Alternate Lost Endings

The premise is you can write your own ending. You could re-write the whole of season 6, or just the last ten minutes of The End. You can also write about what happens afterwards, like Hurley & Bens adventures on the island or what happens when Claire goes home to Aaron etc.

Once the site becomes more popular I will also create monthly contests which are based on a certain subject or theme (eg. Write a story/episode that explains Walt’s appearance to Locke, or a story/episode that explains what’s in Ben’s mysterious box etc.)

There are already a few posts written on there by some of the members which are all worth a read. Be sure to stop by! x

Woah - that was close!

Wow, I’ve really neglected this site since Season 5. It was my intention to review Seasons 2 & 3 during the break but things kept me major busy in the “real” world. I’d neglected it so much that I actually let the domain expire (by accident of course!). Luckily it only expired a few days [...]

Quick Update

Written by admin on June 30, 2009 – 1:31 pm -

Hello fellow Lost fans! This is just a quick update to let you know my plans for the blog while we’re in-between Seasons.
If you’re a regular reader of my Lost “reviews” then you’ll know that before Season 5 started I was reviewing Season 1 episodes and sharing thoughts about what we’ve learnt since the episodes. [...]

Happy New Year!

Written by admin on January 5, 2009 – 5:11 am -

Well, Christmas has been and gone and now it’s a brand new year - where did the last few weeks go, eh? :)

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all! We can now begin the Lost Season 5 countdown!

In the UK we have 20 days to wait, whilst you lucky people in the US have only 16 days!

What will Season 5 have in store for us? I’m not sure but I can’t wait to find out!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Well folks, it’s that time of year again where we eat too much food, drink too much wine, and simply take the time to relax. It’s also coming up to Christmas ;)

Therefore, I shall be returning to my little Lost Blog sometime in January. I haven’t finished off reviewing Season 1 yet but I shall have it finished before Season 5 starts.

So, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a FabuLOST* 2009!

xoxo

*Sorry!

What to do now?

Seeing as I’ve got about 7 months to fill until next season I’ve decided to spend the next 7 months re-watching and reviewing Seasons One up til Season Three.

This site began at the beginning of Season Four and so there have been no reviews written by me about the first (est) 72 episodes.

I’ve got around 28 weeks to write these reviews and I’m going to aim at writing 2 a week which should bring me close to the beginning of Season Five.

These reviews can’t be as long as the others for the reviews written for Season 4 were written from first-time viewing. You can imagine it’s been four years since season one so it’ll be difficult to write reviews as a “first-time viewing” perspective. But what I will do is write a quick review on the episode, the central character of the episode, and things that have happened in that episode that relate to what we know now.

Also, in between episode reviews I’ll be writing about some of the characters who we’ve met along the way, some that have passed and some that are still alive and kicking.

So, thanks for visiting, and I hope you come back soon to read my LOST reviews and ramblings :)

A Review of Spamalot Starring Alan Dale (Charles Widmore)

Alan Dale in Spamalot

Last weekend I went to London with my boyfriend and whilst we were out doing the touristy things during the day, I happened upon a leaflet for Spamalot and was surprised to see that Alan Dale was starring in it. We didn’t have any plans for the Saturday night but that soon changed as I had to go and see this show! :) Luckily there were tickets left, although they weren’t the best seats in the house.

A little bit of a personal update

Well, I recently moved house and have now got Sky as my cable/TV provider, so instead of watching LOST episodes online as they’ve aired in the US, I am now going to watch them on Sky One when they air in the UK, which will effectively give me a TEN day delay in updating about latest episodes and what not…
